Speaking at Legal Wellbeing: New York – A Lawyer’s Approach to Health and Wellness

I am excited to announce that I will be speaking at Legal Wellbeing: New York on May 8, 2025, a conference dedicated to addressing the challenges of burnout, poor well-being, and disengagement in the legal profession. As law firms and legal organizations navigate an evolving workplace, the need for a fundamental shift in priorities has never been clearer. This event will bring together firm leaders, wellness experts, and industry professionals to explore solutions that embed well-being into the fabric of legal practice.

My session, The Legal Case for Wellness – A Lawyer’s Approach to Mental and Physical Health, will focus on reframing health and wellness through the structured, analytical mindset that lawyers use every day. Just as attorneys build strong legal arguments by gathering evidence, analyzing facts, and constructing a compelling case, they can apply the same skills to improve their own well-being. This approach encourages professionals to use their critical thinking and organizational skills to optimize mental health, nutrition, sleep, and overall wellness.

In the legal field, high performance is expected, but sustained success is only possible when health is prioritized. I will discuss how understanding the “inner why” behind wellness decisions can help lawyers proactively manage stress, prevent burnout, and improve resilience in demanding environments. Lawyers excel at advocating for their clients—this session is about turning that advocacy inward.

The conference will cover a range of critical topics, including the return on investment of well-being programs, data-driven strategies to assess impact, and the evolving role of leadership in fostering a culture that prioritizes both people and performance. Legal Wellbeing: New York will serve as the opening chapter in a global discussion.

I look forward to sharing insights, connecting with other professionals passionate about wellness in the legal field, and contributing to this important conversation. If you are attending, I hope to see you there.
